FAQ: Wedding & Engagement Photography

FAQ

How do I book you for my wedding?

A great way to connect is by telephone, email or an in person meeting to discuss the wedding details. If we are a great fit, I will email the wedding photography contract which needs to be signed and submitted with a 50% non-refundable deposit (payable by cash, check or credit card) to secure the date. All dates are first-come, first-serve. Drop an email here studio@cloutierfotographic.com to arrange a free consultation.

Will you hold my wedding date?

Your wedding date is officially secured upon receipt of the signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit.

Do we own the copyright to all of the photographs?

I provide you with a copyright release agreement for personal use (photo albums, home display, social media, family, friends) however, commercial use is prohibited, unless you purchase a seperate user agreement. It is very common for photographers to maintain copyright to all works created in order for the images to be used for promotion and advertisement purposes.

Do you travel?

I absolutely cover destination weddings, however travel expenses are additional. Please email specific details for an estimate. studio@cloutierfotographic.com

What if we need to cancel or change the date?

The retainer is non-refundable. If you choose to move your date, and I am available, I will happily transfer your contract to the new date.

What gear do you use?

I use professional Nikon digital cameras & lenses, and Profoto studio lighting equipment.

How long have you been a photographer?

Going on 17+ years! I have been hired by many corporate and private clients. Check out my artist CV here.

Do you outsource the digital editing and retouching?

Nope! I do all retouching in-house, by yours truly. From start to finish.

How many photographs will we receive?

It is very difficult to provide a total number of photographs, however I estimate you will receive 250+ final images. Number of coverage hours, guest total, location, weather, etc., can increase/decrease the total, but I will provide you a great photographic representation of the day.

Are engagement sessions included in a wedding package?

No, but with the purchase of a wedding package, the engagement session is discounted by 30%.

Are you insured?

Yes. I am insured with business liability insurance. If needed, a copy of the insurance certificate is available.

A while back, a couple of friends and I set out on our second Gonzo Trip. We headed towards the Great Sand Dunes early one morning before sunrise.I got to thinking recently - it is very important to keep working on projects and most importantly, spend quality time with those you love and admire.Time passes by quickly and before you know it - you are 40 years old. That is my case since I will turning the BIG 4 - 0 in December.I'm not sure where time has gone, but I am certain that the remaining years will be full of love, travel and productivity.Be sure to carve out time for those who are close to you. Thanks to Allison for the wonderful image at sunset and to Robert for the great road shot.
